Any fish this weekend?

I fished Brush lake Saturday with my Dad. My Dad caught two small perch. I didn't get any. I only marked one fish. Fished from 9:30am to 12pm.

Went to Lake Madison. We caught 14 perch, but all were small 6 inches.

There was a few houses on the west side of the HWY 81 ponds. Has anyone been getting anything over there?

I fished Bitter this weekend. The bite was pretty tough with the cold weather. Moving around was even tougher with the cold wind Satuday and then the -17 temp Sunday AM. Our group still got some nice fish. Several perch that were just over 13 inches and some nice 14-17 inch walleye. However, overall the bite was tough on Bitter.

The perch were biting on Waubay. People were doing real well out of the Kanagoo access. It sounded the like the size was alright but you had to sort through them. If you plan on fishing this area you will be in a crowd though. I would imagine there were 300 fishhouses in that area. Scott Steil

Hey Scott, thanks for letting me join forces on the guide trip this weekend. Those were some really nice clients. Although it was a little slower by our standards, it was still more fish than they are used to catching. Did everything manage to thaw out alright?

Fished both Sat. and Sun on our stock dams. Did really well. Caught alot of perch, bass, but only a few crappie. Caught 2 perch that weighed 1.9 lbs. on my scale. Both days were identical fishing, 10 am to 12 noon fish bite well, 1 pm to 4:30 pm zero action, then 4:30 pm to 6:30 HOLD ON, couldn't get your line set and had another one running with it.

So far all the gear is still working. Funny how things tend not to work when it is -17, including my fingers. By the way, thanks for taking the dive on that fish, I know how it is to have a wet arm all day when it is that cold.
