IceEyes
In southern MN we have been seeing 100 permanent houses going part way to all the way through the ice. The ice was 10-12 inches on Jan. 6th and appeared to be good ice! 2-3 days of daytime record highs and wind at 20-30 mph just reaked havoc on the ice. It's just baffling to believe this happened in nearly the middle of Jan. which is traditionally the coldest month of the year! Mother nature has one hell of a polker face!!Is the same happening on South Dakota lakes in the Webster or Watertown area?
Nicholas_23
I dont know of too many guys out on the ice right now with perminents if any at all.Not around here any ways. As a matter in fact I even havent seen a perminent on any lakes this year. There might be some in the waubay area.
ifishsd
have not heard of any shacks going down here. Most people use portables over here. Most of the lakes aren't close to towns like in Mineesota.Last week I guy fished waubay and said there was a foot of snow on the lake.
