frustrating weather

hey Todd,

I was up on those sloughs this week too. I met you going onto the ice thursday night. The walleye fishing was great wasn't it. It's been a long time since I've got into walleye action like that with such quality fish! I buzzed back up there Friday night and caught 7 nice keepers. I think things slowed down a little, everybody was starting to drive on the ice and it was causing alot of commotion. Oh well it was fun while it lasted. I'm not complaining about the awesome weather this weekend, but it sure does make it hard on the ice making department.

Tight lines

Mark:

Glad to hear that you did well again. We finally left around 7:30 PM with our limit. The boys were having so much fun they didn't want to leave. They're itching to go again before their school break is over, but the problem is the weather. I think the fishing was so good because we had weather ahead of the cold front (pressure steady or slowly falling)and now with the cold front pushing through the area (pressure rising), the fish should start to get lock jaw for a while. Maybe I'll hit it Tuesday or Wednesday. Take care and Happy New Year!

(It didn't look like my first reply posted, so if it did - sorry!)

Todd,

I had a friend go up and fish on saturday and sunday. He limited out and then some both days. He caught over twenty walleyes Sat. night and sun. morning early down by the highway on the south end. He threw back a few fish over 4 pounds. But like you said with this front coming through who knows what will happen. Don't know until you try I guess.

Mark S., are you from Hazel and work for Butch? Just wondering, it sounds like you. I'm a good friend of Abraham's, I've fished next to you a few times. I didn't get up there to the sloughs, but Joe G. and Matt said the fishing was pretty good.

PS, I used to live in Bryant.
