Frustrating weather

Is this going to be another frustrating winter like last year? It would be nice to have a winter with highs in the 20's and lows in the single digits. Hopefully this madness will end soon!

I think ice anglers around here are in a funk right now. But hang in there it's got to get colder soon.Then we can walk around with a smile on our face.

Tell me about it! The weather the past couple of years have not favored ice fisherman! Try being a weatherman that also owns a bait and tackle store! Well at least it now looks like Mother Nature will cooperate with us for a while. Highs in the 20s and lows near 10, even colder in snow covered areas.

I have also documented how fronts affect fishing, especially in the winter. I worked with Tony Dean and filmed a show about it this past fall. It should air this February. It's all about cold fronts!!

I'll let them know for you the next time I'm down there. I just got back with my two boys with our limits of walleye from up north. Not a bad day! Plenty of ice - people even were driving their pick-ups out (not me though!)
