I tried a new app on my phone to take find an exact location to take a photo of the Super Moon rising.  I picked a farm on a hill as my landmark.  The app helps you find the location you should be at as the moon rises behind your landmark.  It gives the time and GPS location, It worked very well.   I used a 400mm lens  from a location about 1 km away.  You can also use it for shooting the Milky Way.
