Hose timer

I am using battery operated hose timers on 55 gallon barrels to water the new trees I have planted up at my land. The one I have is the Nelson easy set 3, but they don't seem to be available anymore. The ones I have found for sale now need at least 25 psi to open the valve. Anybody know of a timer sold today that just has a rotating ball valve like the Nelson?

I don't know about the timer but I know someone that used to run a hose with a cap on the end of it to his tree.  Buried the hose a couple inches and made the hole in the cap big enough to allow a small trickle through.  Just enough to get damp at night and not dry out completely during the day.  Said it did awesome for his trees.

I bought a battery powered one a few years back from menards by the brand name Gilmour and it works great. I use it on a rain barrel that is connected to drip irrigation in my garden.

I found ones back in 2016 made by the Toro company that worked for me. Not sure if they are still available.
