I honestly didn't think that we were going to have enough ice on the 1st. Boy, I was wrong. I am happy to report that we have 8 inch of ice 1 1/2 inches of snow on Crow Lake and the surrounding portage lakes. We are using 4-wheelers and snow mobiles, portage lakes are possible to get to. Catching lake trout in 20-40 feet in mud. We are using 3 inch white or glow tubes.

Catching crappies on LOTW using Shrum's landing going out to Cyclone. 

Havent been over to Whitefish Bay yet, but I do know that the ice is safe and not a problem getting on the ice.
