Suffix Tip Up Line-Buyer Beware

I bought a couple spools to try as I’m kind of disillusioned with the vinyl stuff maintaining memory and coils. The Suffix is the metered black and white one and the white was nice and silky smooth but the black was like wire and very thick. It must have started as all white and the black coating was put on over the white? It felt extremely stiff in the black sections. The white part comes apart easily when limp and of coarse the first hook that touched it buried itself in just like the old Dacron stuff and I’m very carefull with hooks. I always use rubber bands to secure tip ups and never bury the hooks in the line but this stuff is so loosely braided it’s crazy. Take a close look at this stuff before spending your $6 or $7 on it. Oh well, I have to get over my obsession to try one of everything. Buyer beware.
