Was out for a walk this afternoon here in NW Chisago county. Thought there'd been some road construction ahead by the look of the road. Turns out a big battle had taken place between a couple of bucks.

These guys practically plowed the road while fighting!

The battle must have went on for a good long time and also took place in the adjoining woods. Once I found the hair clumps I started

looking for a body or some blood, but found neither.

I'd say the rut is definitely getting started......

My stand is only a few hundred yards from where this fight took place - hope I get to meet one of them?
