Eskimo Wide One ?

Hey Guys - Anyone have the Eskimo Wide One Inferno? I'm really leaning towards this shack because of the price, fishing area, and even more so because it can be put into a wind position - I will use this a ton hole hopping.

My question - How well does this thing pull when you have gear in it? I want to be mobile, but also have enough room to put my stuff in the shack. Do the sled runners help? Any other tips for making the shack (or similar one) pull easier? Thanks All!

How well it pulls depends on how much gear you have in it. If you pull by hand keep it light. The runners you put on the bottom don't help it pull easier, they are used to keep the sled bottom from wearing out. If you pull your sled across a blacktop or gravel parking lot your going to end up with gouges in the bottom of the sled or on the runners and that will make it pull harder.

I always back up to the lake when there is no snow, and also mounted snow skis under the sled to make the easiest hand pulled sled possible.

Naturboy - Thank you! Especially on the insight regarding the runners. They seems to market these as help for pulling the sled, I wouldn't pull it on blacktop / gravel so no need to blow the money on those then.

Did you make your own under sled ski set-up? I'm guessing something like this is the way to go...
