Wiring in a Tilt & Trim gage

Recommended Posts

My wife's son bought a boat this spring that doesn't have a tilt & trim gage on it. It's a pain with out one. I can install the gage, but wonder about how to wire it. Do the trim motors have some where to plug the lead into or?? It's a 2006 90hp. Etec.

Thanks for the help!

Take a look on the LH side of the motor, when the motor is tipped up, if there is a tilt / trim sending unit mounted.

If you have that, then it's pretty straight forward... if not, you'll need that, as well as the gauge and potentially a harness.

Let us know what you find.
