Veterans Park at Eveleth

Has anyone stayed at the Veterans RV Park south of Eveleth before?  We are going to stay there this weekend.  Looks like a nice place.  Might even bring the golf clubs and do 9 holes.  Only do that a couple of times a year.  Will let you all know how it is after the adventure is completed.....

Also would like to go out to eat one night.  Does anyone have any favorite places to eat near there.  Preferably in Eveleth..

Have friends who camp there off and on all summer, never heard them say anything but good things about the place. Are you bring a boat? Ely Lake is right there and it can be pretty decent for bass and pan fish, also some eyes in there and smallmouth. Lot of sallow water but also some real deep water off the islands. Good crappie fishing if you hit it at the right time.

Not bringing a boat this time.  Will check it out and if we go there again we might.

Had a good time there.  We stayed for 4 days.  Nice showers and restrooms.  We took our lab for lots of walks around the campgrounds and other people had dogs there too. Nice place and we will probably go back again. NO BUGS.  They must spray on Thursdays.
