Bird Dog
Does anyone have any experience with productslike invisible fence.Does it work well.I have heard of dogs leaving the yard in hot pursuit after lets say a cat and passing thru the barrier and getting a jolt in the process but not being phased. But on trying to return after things have calmed downedthey cannot enter the yard.I also would like any input on the elevated scotts type kennels.I am in the process of building a new home and I will not have a lawn for a while and would like to keep the dogs out of the mud while I do the landscapeing etc.any ideas would be greatly appreciatedThanks Bird Dog
Guest
I just bought a house and I am going to put in the invisable fenceing this spring. I have heard that same story but most of the people say it works pretty good. I think you can set the shock so it starts when the collar gets close and then the closer it gets the harder it shocks, so the dog usally doesnt cross it more then a couple of times.Im going to try it!http://www.geocities.com/wish_i_was_fishing2002
Bird Dog
I noticed that innotek makes a wireless unit that looks interesting it controls a 100 ft. radius without buried wires and is portable. You might be able to control the impact on your yard by moving the unit around or take it with you on trips etc.It is also solar powered with a battery backup for low light conditions it could become somewhat spendy if you need more than one collar.I have not went to check one out yet.Bird Dog
