This is from Cook County Sheriffs Office face book page.

There is work in progress which may open parts of the Gunflint Trail up to Class 1 ATV use. A committee has been formed and we have held 2 meetings so far to research the pros and cons of allowing ATV use in certain areas in an effort to link existing roads which currently allow ATV use. Our goal is to make a recommendation to the County Board either in favor or against the proposed use. We could sure could use some support from other ATV riders to open up some of the roads to connect trails and allow access to berry picking, shed hunting, fishing. finding mushrooms, photographing, hunting, and just enjoying the area on ATV's. Thank you for helping open up some areas to ATV use Monstermoose!!
