'09 Impala service airbag light on

The airbag light came on, the code that was read is BOO14, which is on the driver seat. Anyway to check it out myself or what would the dealer charge?

On a seperate question, does GM honor recalls on a salvage title vehicle?

I dont believe they will on a salvage title. I know chrysler would not honor the cat recall they had a while back on a salvage title.

Check for pinched or broken wires in the hinge area (where the seat reclines) of the drivers front seat.

I have heard both ways and have no first hand experience with it, but I believe if it's a safety recall they will usually do it regardless. You have nothing to lose to try!

They did honor the recall and it was a pinched wire in the back of the drivers seat, easy fix, thanks.
