Pruning tools

After finishing the bulk of the spring pruning, have come to the conclusion that if I'm going to continue this, I need some better equipment. I have a made in USA Fiskars lopper that's OK but it's wearing out. My telescoping pruner works OK yet although I tend to use it sparingly. Two mucked up shoulders don't help. After purchasing a Fiskars hand pruner last year, the more I use these made in China things, I find they just don't hold up. They get dull fast and don't cut cleanly after a year or two of use. I have a Felco hoof trimmer that I've used for probably 20 years. It wasn't cheap but it has held up to a lot of hooves and abuse. I see that they make lots of hand pruners too. They cost a lot more than the cheapos but suspect they're worth it. Anyone especially you guys who do this sort of stuff for a living have ideas or opinions on brands? Thanks!

Look up Silky Saws. Awesome quality and they make pruning much easier.

Thanks, those look like dandy saws. Have a Forestry Suppliers catalog that I order scientific stuff out of once in a while that has a whole selection listed. Sure that's likely not the cheapest place to buy them but it's a place to look to see what they make. Made in Japan so would bet they're quality. I have an older pre-Chinese bow saw that's in real good shape yet but there are some smaller folding saws that caught my eye.
