I ventured out for the first time this year for WI early season. Was going to make it a short trip with other things planned for the day, and figured the streams would be quiet at 1pm on a Tuesday. Alas, I had no idea the unemployment among trout anglers was so high, something must be done!

All kidding aside there were fishermen everywhere. I fished a couple of short stretches and caught a few small browns but ended the afternoon early.

Most streams I checked were like chocolate. One stretch I fished was beautifully clear but is way upstream and rocky and usually doesn't get stained.
