fish_hunt_guy
I have a 1980 Remington 700 BDL .22-250 I just recieved from my dad. From what I'm reading it probably has a 1:14 barrel twist but they did make some 1:12. How can I know for sure that it has 1:14? Can I bring it to a gun shop?
picksbigwagon
have you checked the barrel and see if it was stamped with the twist rate? Contact Remington, send them the serial number for the firearm and ask them if they have a record (they do) of what the twist rate is. I would start there......
