Iambjm
I seem to go through my battery power quite rapidly, so I decided to purchase some led bulbs. Here is what I have and what I bought. But when I plug them in they don't work, they are an 1141 base the same as the bulbs that were in there. ????
David Anderson
I can't tell you why the bulb isn't working, maybe the socket isn't as tight as it needs to be. Looking at your fixture however I would recommend this bulb as 100% of the LEDs face down. I have the same with the bayonet type mounting and they work great. I got these for a friend who has the same 1141 type base and they work as well.

Iambjm
If they were wired wrong wouldn't the 1141 incandescent bulbs not work either

Get a multimeter and check to see if the center contact is + .
Husker24
I had the same problem, I bought some led bulbs and they worked fine in one fixture but not the other, they were the same light, same model, 1141 bulb. I checked voltage, hooked up jumpers etc. tried it both ways, could not get them to work. I have not figured out why and still haven't. I have come to the conclusion that it is either the cheap foreign fixtures or the cheap foreign bulbs. It makes no sense at all.
Iceman77
Try flipping the bulb 180 degrees. I have some led bulbs and this takes care of it for me.
