long rods

does anyone make long rods for ice fishing like the frabill jiggler . i really like the concept but they are made so cheep. was going to make one but don't now what reel to use. any info on this would be helpful.

the reel on those jiggler rods looks a lot like those swedish palm rod reels. Looks like you could rig something up just by removing the short rod thing and gluing a long blank in there. Not sure if those swedish palm rods are cheap chinese plastic junk though.

I'm interested in what blank you would use. Doesn't the line run through a hollow blank on those jiggler rods?

yes, right through the middle and through spring bobber. fun fishing with the one i have, but would like to make my own custom ones. just can't find reels to work like the "jiggler" rods.
