Brainerd Ice Fishing Tourniment

if people are staying out on the gull lake for the weekend how are they getting out on the lake with the large ice heave at the landing. are the Jaycees going to do anything with it before the tournament so they can get all of the equipment out there? or should I look for a different spot to go out of?

They have already been out as of yesterday to cut a hole through the ice heave. Need someone to plow it though!!

that is great! I figured the would do some thing the seem to be a stand up group of people.

Just looked at the access and there is a way around it. Somebody did cut out a path through the heave. Guessing they are letting it freeze up before plowing.

They did not have a plow truck and were looking for one. It is frozen, they just did not want to have to shovel all of it.

I was just over looking at it this morning it looked like there was a big loader out on the edge he could of pushed it out but my guess is there waiting till Wednesday so it doesn't get beat up they will start blocking off the access Friday night I imagine

there is a couple diffent ways to get out there though I'm there every year and the father in law is one of the event coordinators so he keeps me up to date on things

Just a heads up I heard there is a crack going from Ernie's to west and the hole in the day access heved up again but they were cleaning it up again today
