Eyewitness
I have been shopping wheel houses for a while now and am thinking really hard on getting one of these. Seems like an awesome set up bang for the buck....Anyone out there own one or know someone that does? If so, for how long, and what's your experience good or bad? What would you do different for options if you could do it over? Thinking of adding a solid cabinet in the front with Suburban direct vent heater and cooktop. Anyone ever done that in these rigs? Any and all input would be appreciated!
sunniewally
for me i would like it just cause of the weight and versatility of it. unlike a hardside you don't need a ton of ice to use it alot of room for the buck. can set up with removable cabinets to use depending on conditions.can use cots to sleep on or build some bunks to be removable all depending on the years ice conditions. keep it light if you want to run and gun. ya you can pull an ice castle with a 4x4 but they can be heavy comparing the same size. there is alot of uses for it. aczr2k
For the price of those I'd buy an unfinished Yetti. Anything canvas has a short life span, imagine how tough that house would look after being pulled down one salt spray highway? Canvas Craft had a similar house but it folded down for road transport and had its own cover, keeping the canvas clean.

That is easily the most convenient part of a wheelhouse is the ability to leave things ready to go in the house. The canvas house would be a sweet little day house if you were able to store it at the lake in a garage/shed. I wouldn't want to drag it all over the state on wet salty roads.I do really like the Canvas By The Stitch bunk beds though.
