Turkey Jerky

Going to try my first batch of Turkey Jerky in the smoker this weekend. Looking for a good seasoning to use... Anyone have a good recipe???

That's what I was thinking too.. I have made plenty of jerky but never turkey.

I make all my wild Turkeys into Jerky...beast only.

It's very good.

I use the same as I do for venny, High Mountain.

I like the Terriyaki and Sweet/Spicy but I bet all of them are good. Depends on your taste. I don't think they make a bad one.

Looking at the venny jerky threads, I'd say any of them would be good for turkey.

I put mine on the smoker when I do it...gives it a little more flavor if you liked the smoked flavor.

I have used to mesquite from High Mtn and it was dandy.

I prefer the Lem seasonings. You can order them on line or Gander has it as well. I prefer it because it is a wet marinade and I think it gets into the meat more evenly than sprinkling the mix on . JMHO. Turkey is great. Our personal favorite is Goose.
