Nails for Weight

Recommended Posts

Can anyone offer more info on how to go about using nails as weights on plastic worms and stuff?
I'm guessing you would use a regular worm hook as usually and where would I place the nail? Front, back, middle?? And what types of plastics do you guys like better?

Thanks

I like this on senko type baits. I texas rig a large hook on one end and use the nail to balance it on the other.

This made sense to me cause these baits have their own wiggle on the fall and it looks better horizontal than if one end of the bait is heavy and sinks vertically.

If you watch the fall, to me, it looks better than even a mojo or light carlolina rig.

Also, you can make a weird lookin tube by texas riggin it backwards and using the nail in the end that you normally thread the hook.

Dang I luv ta fish
