This year my ice fishing season started on November 21st on a Twin Cities Metro Lake. Anytime I'm ice fishing before Turkey Day - I'm a happy man! Surprisingly there was already 5-6" of ice on this spot by the time I got to it. This area is known to hold many different species during the early season but we were able to locate and key in on the Crappies and Sunfish. Most of the fish caught were typical "metro" size but we did catch Sunfish up to 9" and Crappies up to 11.5".

Haha, thank you Moose. I will be targeting Lakers a few times this ice season and look to chase Rainbows through the ice at least once or twice but nothing will replace the scenery of my CO fishing adventures.
