guyonacouch
I've got the Honda Strikelite and love it. Cuts fast, lightweight, and runs great - I recommend it to anyone looking for something new. However, I've never tried to reopen holes in the wheelhouse with it and have heard the two-bladed auger that comes with it binds when reopening up holes. My question is, can I put a chipper style auger on my Strikelite? I ask because I know that my Strikelite doesn't turn very fast vs. a Jiffy auger and I don't know if it will still bind up or if it the 35cc motor has the torque to cut with a different style auger. kerryd15
The laser will open holes just fine, just have to lift up on it so it doesn't dig too fast. When it digs too fast is when it's going to bind. If you get a chipper blade make sure it's a strike master chipper. I think jiffy turns the opposite direction. Brad B
kerryd15 is correct. you can put a chipper on it but it needs to be a strikemaster auger. the strikemasters are made to be interchanged if you choose to do that. Jiffy's do rotate the opposite direction and they won't work on a strikemaster.
