NDWalleyes
I'm am away from home serving in Afghanistan, but have great support from my wonderful parents who offered to pick up my new purchase! This is a 2006 "Dandy" fish house, but basically brand new. 2 owners who both unfortunatly didnt have the time to use it. I however plan to have it on hard water not long after I get home and need some help coming up with solutions to my "great ideas". I will be using this as both ice fishing sleeper, hunting shack, and summer camper - but in summer its just for sleeping, if I am camping Ill be outside! hears how it currently looks: Things I am planning on are: 1) storage - both under the bench seat, and some built in cabinets with countertop space 2) one or two more batteries (need ideas for the electrical) 3) hole lights 4) rod holders (ceiling mounted) in my dad's sleeper they used small hook screws for the rod ends and plastic shower curtain hooks for the real end..I think it lookds realy nice, its on the cheap, and when its not in use there is not a bulky shelf 5) BEER HOLDERS! 6) blinds or curtains Here is what it could turn out like: this has a lot of guestimates on measureing as I am not home, so there will be some chages to make things work Also, unfortunately the windows are single paned, and must have lead to condensation issues..there is no water damage, but it looks like the solutions was to weather strip/window seal plexy to the inside of the house..this will have to change as I would like my windows actually opperable. please share pictures of your rigs! Also the more feedback the better..ill only have a few weeks before first ice, I want to get building shortly after I get home! Thanks. NDWalleyes
There are already 2 "ports" where power could be ran in, but nothing for 110V..I am thinking that in the cabintery under the countertops I could house 2 deep cycle batteries. what might be the best way to do this..with little experience I was wondering if it would work to power a battery charger hooked to the batteries, which are hooked to a convertor, to a power strip back mounted in the upper cabinet ( no extra exposed wireing ) my other question is how hot do 15000 btu "empire" heaters get. online i found I should be able to build within 1" of each side and 12 of the top. can anyone confirm this? Thanks
holmsvc
If there is room next to the heater I'd look at putting in an oven/stove.
