Took better then a hour and half to find one but we managed to. They logged a small 40 acre section of my running grounds so hopefully in a few years there will be enough young poplar in there to hold hare year round. Got both young Sally/Hunter pups a couple close looks at the hare today and they were both squawking on track some, hopefully they take off soon.

One of life's great joys: listening to the music of the hounds. Decades ago we had a bunch of great old guys who maintained three or four Walkers and Black and Tans a sunny Sunday was the perfect day for a winter outing. Bright sun, brilliant white snow made crispy by the 20 degree temp and the dogs after a big running red fox!!

Very seldom killed the fox.....maybe once in a while a coon but what wonderful days those were!

Have fun chasing those wascally wabbits!
