Roy waubay etc

Heading to NE SoDak next weekend. We fish Roy and Clear for the most part for smallies. Have tried Enemy Swim. It was ok. Would like to hit Waubay for a bit. It's a big lake. Any tips on where to start? Other lakes to try? Thanks

For some toad smallies on a new lake, I'd hit Reetz, which is a few miles south of webster. There are a lot of proud angler sized SM bass in that lake.

Ever try the Buffalo Lakes? They are fairly close to where we stay. How about Pickeral? Thanks for the Reetz tip.

Pickeral I fished a few days last winter; never fished the Buffalo's. I don't do much open water fishing up that way, mainly ice fishing.
