Question on cleaning the inside of a boat

So I just picked up a nice older boat. '88 Lund deep v. The boat was a pretty good price and is solid but not super pretty in places.

The inside of the storage compartments are pretty dirty. Just gunk and grime. what's the best way to go about cleaning all this? Once I vacuum out the junk, should I power wash the inside? Just soap and water? Can I paint the insides to clean them up? Or some other coating? I want them to look as new as possible!
