So I decided to build a wheel house...

I am in the process of building a wheel house from scratch. Learning a lot along the way. I'll post pictures and hopefully some seasoned veterans can give me some tips and advice. So far I have completed the frame and put on the floor. I've spent months plotting out my next move. I hope to spray foam the underside of the floor next and then start framing. Any comments welcome!!!

The top line of the original frame and c channel that I used for the 3 foot extension on the back is roughly an inch and a quarter... Any suggestions on how to attach the walls to the trailer? Also, on the gray shack that I post a pic of above, there is only diamond plate on the front and by the wheel wells. Do you think the pro rib would hold up when banking the shack in or would it be necessary to trim the entire bottom foot or two with aluminum diamond plate? Always Fishing(the owner I think) how has this worked for you????

In your pictures I see you have u-bolts holding the springs to the axle arms. I am assuming the front end of the springs are pinned to tabs on the axle arms as well. If that is the case, I would recommend removing the u-bolts and resting the center point of the spring on rubber bump stops. By having the springs retained as you do, you are greatly reducing the springs ability to flex. If you look at my post "minimum maintenance frame" you can see how I did mine. Had it down the road a couple of days ago at 70mph (4 lane) and it worked perfectly. You see a lot of trailers with the springs stuffed inside the tube really bouncing down the road. Good job making use of an existing frame and components.
