jbell1981
In my wife's garden the watermelons are about the size of grapefruit but about 75% are splitting open. This is only occurring in the traditional green watermelons. She has some dark green ones and some cantaloupe in the same area and they are both doing fine. Any idea what would cause this. jbell1981
Not sure what you mean. She waters the whole garden on a regular basis.
jbell1981
After looking at various websites, if you water them to much they can split. If you get a big rail storm that can split. If it gets to hot they can split. If they don't get water for a while and then you water them the can split. They kind of sound like a pain in the a$$. This is my wife's first serious attempt at them. Anyone have a good watering schedule that she could follow with better luck?
