I'm not a bear hunter but I was doing food plots this weekend and in the fresh dirt I had tracks that size. How big is that bear?

big variable there, the top 6 inch pad could produce a bear that could wiegh between 4-600 lbs the smaller print could produce a bear between 2-300 lbs the higher end numbers would be just prior to denning up for the winter. and these are just really rough estimates. no doubt the larger print is a mature boar, the smaller print which came from the same ditch run im thinking is a sow the boar is pursuing, I just snapped those prints last week, and first thought that is was a little late for breeding but black bear sows have whats called delayed implantation to help the odds of being able to breed due to the large home range of a boar, just increase the cances of a sow and boar meeting up and succesfully breeding.

Wow I had no idea it was that big of a print. My guess is it was a little smaller than the top one. I have gotten photos on the trail cam of smaller bears (my inexperienced guess would be 100-150lbs.) It would be really cool to see something pushing 400lbs.

put a cam out and spray some greas around and see what ya get, love leaving my cams out i have a 15 year old site in my river bottom that so sturated with grease from all those years, I get sniffers all summer.

a nice cinno sniffin around, didnt find anything as i cant bait but with all the grease soaked into the ground and logs I can even smell the site before I walk into it,
