Carl,

I have the same concerns with the pig portion. When I tried to hook mine, it squealed and kicked and made an awful fuss.

Actually...I had the same problem you had...Jig veterans is there a big benefit of pork over plastic...and how do you get the hook through?

I take them out of the jar and use a six penny( small ) nail and hammer on a board and put them back. Also return to jar after your done,. or there done. Great info guys

Uncle Josh pork baits have a slit pre-punched into them. There should not be too much problem hooking them up. I put the fat side down. I use the #11 most of the time. In the fall the Big Daddy frog works very well. I would also suggest to use one piece until you loose it. The more you use pork, the better it gets. There are too many ways to modify pork to mention here. I love the stuff.
