Convertible rear bench seat

Recommended Posts

I have a 2008 Crestliner Superhawk 1700, wondering if there are any manufactures of a rear bench that can fold down and give you a platform without losing access to my live well? I see the newer Lunds have them wondering if you can get them for the crestliners as well.

Nobody has a pre-made one ready to go. You'll have to have one custom made which will cost big money.

I had a sportfish 1750 with the rear bench. It was great when it was up with kids. It was a pain constantly folding it up and down trying to get to minnows and the livewell when fishing.

I just picked up a new 1850 Sportfish last week. We had originally looked at the benchseat but the fact that you have to remove the two back pedestal seats to flip the bench was not appealing. I thought the answer then was the SST model. However, I sat in an SST model at the sportshow and really couldn't see myself fishing over that transom. I like to anchor up and bobber fish off the back. So I thought the Sportfish was not for us. Then we sat in a superhawk that had the flip down jump seats. We asked if we could get that back seat in the sportfish and the answer was yes. That is how we ordered the boat. It cost us some room in the back livewell but that was it. The live well is always accessible and the back platform is maintained. I am very happy with the outcome. Hope this helps.
