Peach and Apricot Trees in Southern Minnesota?

No, this past winter will not be the best test for those peach saplings.

Hey jivers, good to see you back in these parts again. Hope those peach trees made it. Guessing they should have if the bunnies didn't work them over.  

Weather-wise the winter shouldn't have been too bad. Looking at the low temperature data from the Experiment Station in Waseca, there were only 13 days with below zero temps, with most of those occurring in mid-January and a few in February. None in December or November. The normal number is in the mid-20 range if memory serves me correctly. Snowfall has been about half of normal total-wise although there was additional rainfall that fell in November and December that went in the ground as there was very little in the way of frost at that time. The frost is out here in many places now on bare ground and in particular on south facing slopes.

I noticed with today's 60 degree high in our yard the buds on many of the trees were taking notice and swelling accordingly. One apple and 2 pear trees to prune yet so need to finish that project.
