Just finished this rebuild. Was a blue legend rod, my buddy wanted me to repaint it black and add the new palm reel seat and fore grip with new SiC Fuji guides. First time putting a collage together on Photoshop.. still have a ways to go.

It's actually Syncork, never used it but he really likes it.

I'm assuming you are talking about the white lettering? I actually us a calligraphy pen which I have never had a problem with. I don't have a printer to print the specs so I just write them on.

Sorry, i meant the repainting it black. My thoughts are that the paint would crack when it bends.

Aw got ya, I used Krylon by color master with a flexing agent in it, then coated it with Helsman Minwax for the top coat. Seems to be holding up fine, asked around and it seems to be what other builders have used as well. Took a few coats and sanding to get it to come out right but over time it got there.

Cool, thanks. Are they rattle cans you can get at a big box store or auto parts off the shelf? I'll be nervous painting a blank, but would like some other options on the st croix blanks, so might have to mak my own. Thanks again!

My local Ace hardware stores sells the rattle cans, I'm guessing most all big box stores have them however they will vary in colors.
