[Driftless]

The Lee Wulff Chapter is camped at Avalanche this weekend with many of their members. They arrive Thursday night and stay until Sunday afternoon.

The Gary Borger Chapter of Trout Unlimited will be at Fennimore for the weekend also. They have blocked off lots of rooms at a hotel in Fennimore.

The trout streams of the driftless area will be over run with anglers this weekend. It may be a good time to stay home unless maybe you like waiting in lines to fish.

The Elliot Donnelley Chapter of TU will be in Westby this weekend for their annual spring meeting too.

So you're telling me that these chapters of TU filling up all the hotels, eating in all the restaurants and buying gas in these small towns is a bad thing? Hmmm, I suppose those people you "live vicariously" through drop wads of cash as they go through town....

And, who cares if it's shoulder to shoulder, you don't like it, don't fish. The good news is most, if not all of the trout they catch will be returned to the water, with minimal harm.

I have given them tips on where to go.

I won't be fishing this weekend.
