Do you fish with Kids?

If you have kids and fish, we are looking for more volunteers and fishing coaches to help set up youth fishing programs in communities in Minnesota. Seasons can be set up based on a schedule that works best for your community and are pretty simple to set up and manage.

We will help you communicate the season dates, provide rules and scoring, (catch and release point based scoring is used), keep track of all the youth anglers stats, team information, provide certificates, a trophy, etc.

Kids must be between the ages of 5-12. The format is focused on getting the kids on the water and having fun while fishing.

The best part is "fishing" is on the home calendar, just like any other scheduled sport or activity!

My dad is retired and looking for volunteer opportunities along these lines. He was looking to volunteer with the "lets go fishing" organization, but introducing kids to fishing might be of more interest to him. Is there a HSOforum or anything I could point him to?
