Has anyone who has flown recently “carried on” fishing tackle? I’m flying to Flordia tomorrow morning. I’m packing light and will carry on my clothes and a handful of lures for punching, swiwbaits and topwater (rods are waiting for me). The TSA is very vague on tackle and recommend checking luggage for large hooks. What is large..…shark hooks?? I’m starting to worry that I may have to forfeit my tackle of 5/0 and 6/0 hooks. Not a huge loss, but added up with jigs at $5 each, and it could be costly (still cheaper than checking luggage). In the past I haven’t had an issue, but for some reason I’m worrying a bit this time…….
I’ve been givin’ all my local buds grief about those for years. Finally bought some and keep buying it. But I’ve also been trying to cut back on beer drinkin’ to lean out this dad bad a little, this qualifies I figger.
