Rattling Rod

This build started with a blank that is no longer available from Batson. It's an RX7 ISP843 three piece travel rod for walleyes, smallmouth, etc. Eastern red cedar split grips, rattle snake skin inlays. The guides are American Tackle Microwaves. Never really used the variegated thread before but it seemed a good fit for this build.

Looks nice. How was the snake skin to work with? I think that looks like it could be fun.

It was the first time I'd tried so I was a little apprehensive. I got it from Mudhole and they have a video that shows the exact process. I followed the video to the letter and it really was a piece of cake. I literally had zero issues.
