Informal Hunt Test

All,

We have had discussions on this forum in the past led by Todd and Tyler on the merits of training our hunting dogs with the goal of having them pass a hunt test. This doesn't necessarily mean that you have to run your dog in a test, you're really training a dog that performs at its peak potential in the field as well a test. Todd and Tyler have also promoted the notion of joining a dog training club. Those that are in a club know that you don't just end up with a better hunting dog, but you end up being a more competent trainer.

With that being said, the dog training club I belong to, Four Points Retriever Club, will be running an informal hunt test on April 26 and 27 in Clear Lake, Wisconsin (you can participate on either day or both). Here is the information for this event: http://www.fourpointsrc.org/Forms/FPRC_Handlers_Seminar_2014v2.pdf

This test will be informal and include coaching and instruction from our experienced club members who have titled multiple dogs at the Senior level of the NAHRA testing organization. So, if you want to learn more about the benefits of training for a hunt test or just want to tune up for the upcoming season, please consider joining us.

If you have further questions, you can contact me directly via email at bornofice at yahoo dot com (you'll need to turn that into a valid email address).
