boat set up

Okay so I have a 2004 ALumacraft navigator 165 cs. just wondering how I should set up my electronics. I recently purchased the elite 5hdi and I also plan on using my Marcum LX-7, up until now that is all I had. I am torn on whether to put the Marcum up front for another fisherman or to place it on the cousel so I can look at both that and my hdi... I RARELY fish off the front.

anyone's thoughts?

If you use the back of the boat install it there. If you decide you want something in the bow the world is full for cheap older model electronics. For my bow I have an old H-bird that I picked up for $25 at a yard sale. Having a unit up there is helpful for the person in the bow to have some reference point to judge depth and drop-offs.

It just depends on what frequency the units are running on. I have two Lowrance units on the center console and stern that are networked. The h-bird runs off the bowmount's transducer. I have no interference even in deep water where the cone angles are wider.
