I was at the store recently looking at getting a Lowrance Elite-7 HDI. They are running a deal to include the Lake Insight Pro right now. The first salesman said that the HD chips don't work in the Elite-7. I grabbed the brochure nearby and pointed it out to the second salesman, who conceded that the HD chips do in fact work in the Elite-7s but slow down the unit.
My question is whether any of you are running HD chips in an Elite-7 and whether you think it materially slows down the unit. I guess a second question would be whether you think it's worth it.

Nice to finally meet you tonight. Make sure you tell me who you are again next time you come in. I will probably forget.
Let me know when you are dropping in again and I'll make sure we have more of those beverages around!
This northern boy needs a little help with this one.
Dried up kill hole in the duck timber?
Quicksand that all the deer fell into?
Cool lighting in a forest that’s so different from ours?
I’ve never been in the AR woods before but you’ve arrived by the looks of it.
Good luck.
