Sorry if this has been touched on before, But me and a buddy are heading to Red lake this weekend and i was wondering if theirs any thing i should know to those that head that way alot. Iv never fished this lake before, and am wondering what part of upper red is a decent area to start, snow cover, and where to get on.

Any little thing helps. Thank you

He's right about the Red Lake section for more responses. One thing though-there's so much snow that the access/resort you pay to go on will dictate where you fish for the most part unless you are a portable and snowmobile guy. They say-Here's a spot. You plop down and say thank you. It's kind of different for most people that have never been there before. JR's is a good place, good food and drink when you want to take a break. We did best on set lines and colored plain hooks.
