I am looking to for a different GPS. I currently have a Lowrance Endura. I would like to have a GPS/Chartplotter with a bigger screen that I can mount in my truck for ice fishing. I will not need any sonar just the GPS. My Endura has a 2.7" screen and I would like a 4" screen or bigger. Just about every major manufacture makes one but any recommendations? This unit will be addition to my handheld.

You've got a few options.

Do you have a lake mapping data card for your Endura? If so, what kind?

As for other devices to consider, Garmin has the NUVI in car navigation devices, they can go from 4" screens to 7" screens, throw in a Garmin Upper Midwest Fishing Guide data card and you're covered.

You could get a Google Nexus 7 tablet, download the Navionics App and be set that way too, you'll need some type of mounting device for you vehicle.

I would probably give the Garmin a nod on being a little more accurate and you would also get a suction cup mounting system with it.

Food for thought......

Mike
