Any place that sells Marcum replacement parts?

I need a charger for my Showdown. They are on the Marcum HSOforum for $19.99 but they want almost $14 to ship the stupid little thing less than a 150 miles and then add tax and you are almost to the cost of the charger itself! Anyone know if you can buy them anywhere else or someone have a extra they would like to sell? I would like to have the one that is supposed to be with the unit instead of a separate charger.

Not what you want to hear but the first thing I do with any of my flashers is get rid of the factory charger. The ones are I use are Motobatt Waterboy chargers and they work well. They put out 1 amp. Last time I looked on hsolist you could get them for less than $20 with free shipping and no taxes. There are a bunch of other 3/4 or 1 amp smart chargers out there that would work better than the chargers that come with the units.

Yeah you are probably right. I will probably look into chargers at L&M or something. I sent Marcum a email telling them their shipping on these small replacement parts is ridiculous. Always been one of my pet peeves.

Mine too. The place that I actually saw those chargers was on the big auction site, not HSOlist.

Just don't do a mail in rebate with batteries plus. I've done 2 with them (following the exact specifications that always come with these) and never saw my rebate show up in the mail. Not that bat plus is the only place that I have had issues with mail in rebates. I actually refuse to buy anything now that has a mail in rebate.

my showdown charger was a joke. The thing fell apart, so I just rigged up a clam car charger with some misc attachments and charge my 9V directly. Works well.

not to hijack the thread or anything but I had the same issue with Clam I wanted to purchase extra s-clips that retailed for 5.99 or something. when I went to check out it was going to be over $20 to ship them. I called and asked if they could just ship USPS but was told they only ship speedy or fedex. FORGET THAT!!! I went to a different HSOforum that offered free shipping on everything. Total $5.99 and they arrived at my door in less than a week. Best part was they were shipped directly from the manufacturer, so clam had to pay the shipping!!!

I have to hand it to Marcum. I called them and they are sending me the charger and the 120volt adapter and shipping both for 6 bucks!
