jiffy stx primer ball

So im having a dilemma. i have a jiffy stx 3500 auger, and when it runs its great. But it seems its one thing after another with this thing.

The primer ball has blown out the end and jiffy says i need to buy a whole carb to fix it. at 36.75 this may be the final straw. anyone know of a way to fix this without buying an entire carb? it looks like the ball could be replaced if i could find a replacement.

Try approaching this from the other end. Instead of going to Jiffy, try any small engine repair shop. That part should be carb specific not Jiffy. Should have a number on the carb which will help get right part.
