Help with HB 597 ci HD

Anyone familiar with some baseline settings that I should be using? Can't really get it to pick up my jig. When it does I have to have sensitivity up so high that it's reading a lot of clutter. My LX-7 picks up same jig with out all the clutter. Thanks

too me it sounds like you may have it on switchfire mode, doube check that and make sure it is turned off and your "clutter" should reduce

do you have it in ice fish mode?? there are lots of settings...ive had mine couple weeks learn a little here and there . think itll be good after i get it all figgured out.. been using mine in graph mode more than flasher screen.. dont think i have my zoom working properly

Yep that was a lot of the problem...thank you. I read in one of your other posts about having the black background. How do I change that? Thanks for your help and any other tips you have would be appreciated.

especially for ice fishing in graph mode, make sure your graph speed "the speed at which your graph pic moves right to left" is at the highest setting meaning your graph is moving as fast at it can, this should also help detect fish movement easier and you should see fish by your lure quicker, the more changes you see with a fast moving screen, the more info you are getting quicker from the ducer, and b4 u hit the ice, go through the different screen views and see which ones you prefer so u wont be wasting time on the ice with unwanted screen views. personally I have never used the circle flashing mode and for ice I usually only use 2 or 3 different views....gps/graph split screen, graph/bottom zoom split screen, or when shallow full graph mode
