Registration?

Can anybody tell me if an ATV can be registered in 2 or more states my wheeler is registered in Minnesota right now but I was wondering if it is possible to register it in Wisconsin too I have addresses in both states so thats not a problem.

I believe that if you are registered in one state, it covers other areas as well. so there is no need to register in more than one state.

The reason why I ask is because in Wisconsin I have to have a trail permit which is 18 bucks a year but I was thinking that if I could register it in Wisconsin it might be a little cheaper because the registration last 3 years over there Plus I do 95% of my rideing over there.
